DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team conceded a 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18) loss to visiting Wichita State Friday night at Frericks Center. Sophomore Lexie Almodovar led the Flyers' offense with 13 kills in the team's second match of the Wright State Tru by Hilton Dayton-Beavercreek Invitational.

Dayton is now 6-6 on the season while Wichita State moves to an even 5-5 overall.

KEY STATS
16 - sophomore Alyssa Miller got under a career-high 16 assists and served up a career-high three aces
16 - sophomore Anna Wuensch passed a match-high 16 digs
13 - Almodovar tallied a team-high 13 kills to go with nine digs and three aces
12 - for the third-consecutive match, junior Amelia Moore recorded double-digit kills with 12 while swinging at .375
9 - as a team, the Flyers served up nine aces to the Shockers' four

Dayton will close out its four-match week with  the second of two matchups at Wright State on Saturday. The Flyers and Raiders will get underway at 6 p.m. at McLin Gynmasium in Fairborn.
