FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team was in action Thursday night, as they played the first of two consecutive road matches. The Flyers took on the George Mason Patriots, and for the sixth consecutive match, came away victorious by a final score of 4-0.

With the victory, the Flyers improve to 9-1-1 on the season, and 3-0 in Atlantic 10 play. The six consecutive victories for the Flyers marks their longest such streak since winning eight in a row back in 2013. The Patriots fall to 1-6-3, and remain winless in Atlantic 10 play at 0-1-1.

KEY MOMENT
The Flyers controlled possession from the opening kick-off, but it would take almost the entirety of the first half to finally get the breakthrough they were looking for.
Mia Perri opened the door for the Flyers, as her highlight reel strike from well outside the 18 yard box opened the scoring in the 36
th minute.

Perri's goal opened the floodgates, as the Flyers would get two more goals before halftime from
Mary Dziuba and
Natalie Hegg, giving the Flyers a commanding 3-0 lead headed into the locker room. The Flyers would get one final insurance goal in the second frame off a beautiful header from
Audrey Steiert to run the total to 4-0.

- The four goals scored by the Flyers Thursday are the most in a single match this season, one more than their 3-0 victory over Northern Kentucky on Aug. 25.
- With the Flyers' fourth consecutive shutout victory on Thursday, Dayton has now held it's opponents scoreless for 381 consecutive minutes. The all-time Dayton record for consecutive shutouts is six, dating back to 2013.
