DAYTON – Sophomore
Kyra Karfonta scored a pair of goals and the University of Dayton women's soccer team coasted to a 3-0 win over George Mason Thursday night at Baujan Field.

KEY MOMENTS
The Flyers (10-1-5, 5-0-3) got on the board early as Karfonta converted on a penalty shot in the 12
th minute of action. The sophomore drew the penalty inside the 18' and drove home the PK for her second goal of the season.

Fifth-year senior
Marlee Taylor scored the Flyers' second goal of the match with a beautiful strike on a free kick from just outside the penalty box.

UD made it a 3-0 first half lead when Taylor struck another free kick, this time from the left side of the 18', and found the knee of fellow fifth-year
Alicia Donley on the opposite side of the field. Donley centered a pass and Karfonta cashed in with her second goal of the night.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Karfonta's multi-goal game marked the fifth time this season that the Flyers had a multi-goal performance (Huber x2, Wessner and Wilson).

The +23 advantage (27 to 4) in shots was the second time this season the Flyers out-shot an opponent by that much, also doing so against George Washington (33 to 10).

Dayton had a 6-0 edge in corners, marking the second time this season the Flyers have held an opponent without a corner (4-0 vs. Wright State Sept. 3).

Keeper
Batoul Reda saved both of the Patriots' shots on goal.

It was the seventh shutout of the campaign for Reda and eighth total for the Dayton defense.
