DAYTON - The 16th-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team held off visiting Saint Louis, 3-1 (25-19, 27-29, 25-19, 25-18), Saturday afternoon at Frericks Center. Junior
Lexie Almodovar led the charge with a match-high 18 kills to go with 10 digs for the outside hitter's eighth double-double of the season.
Dayton closes out the week with a 22-2 mark on the season and remains unbeaten in Atlantic 10 Conference matches (11-0). Saint Louis is now 11-12 on the year and 4-7 in league contests.

Alyssa Miller recorded a match-high-tying 43 assists, the 10th times this season she's produced 40 or more assists in a match
18 - sophomore
Karissa Kaminski led three Flyers in double-digit digs with 18
18 - Almodovar led all attackers with 18 kills and also had 10 digs, two blocks and two aces
9 - senior
Amelia Moore tallied a match-high nine blocks and also collected nine kills
Saint Louis - Kayla Richardson led three Billikens in double-digit kills with 16 and Carlie Rodgers led all passers with 21 digs
UP NEXT
On Tuesday, Dayton will host Duquesne for the second half of the Flyers and Dukes' home-and-away series this season. First serve between the pair is set for 5 p.m. Oct. 24 at Frericks Center and admission is free.
