WASHINGTON, D.C. - The No. 18 University of Dayton volleyball team downed George Washington 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-20) Friday night in the nation's capital. Junior
Lexie Almodovar (15) and sophomore
Taylor Russell (11) combined for 26 of the Flyers' 41 kills in the Atlantic 10 Conference win.
Dayton is now 24-2 on the season and a perfect 13-0 in conference games while George Washington moves to 7-17 overall and 4-9 in league contests.
KEY STATS
15 - Almodovar led all attackers with 15 kills and also got under seven digs and tallied three blocks
11 - Russell was second on the team with 10 kills to go with four digs and three service aces
10 - sophomore
Karissa Kaminski led all passers with a match-high 10 digs and also equaled her career high with three aces
8.0 - as a team, the Flyers tallied 8.0 total blocks, compared to the Revolutionaries' 1.0, led by senior
Lindsey Winner with four assisted blocks
George Washington - the Revolutionaries were led by Salem Yohannes with 13 kills

Dayton will close out its two-match trip to Washington, D.C., Saturday afternoon. The Flyers and Revolutionaries will get underway at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at GW's Smith Center.
