RICHMOND, Va. – University of Dayton women's soccer freshman 
Maddie Bowman picked the perfect time to score her first collegiate goal, clinching a 1-0 road victory for the Flyers at VCU Sunday, Oct. 8 at Sports Backers Stadium.
 
KEY MOMENTS
In the match's 71
st minute, Bowman lofted a ball over the Rams' keeper and into the back corner of the goal for the game-winner.
 
With just one minute to go and offensive pressure building from VCU, sophomore keeper 
Batoul Reda denied another Rams' shot to preserve the clean sheet.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Dayton has spread its offense throughout the lineup, as Bowman's goal made her the 11
th Flyer to score this season.
 
The 1-0 shutout marked the second time this season that UD won by a 1-0 final, also doing so in the Atlantic 10 opener against Massachusetts.
 
Keeper 
Batoul Reda made eight saves in the contest, her most in A-10 action and second-most for the season.
 
It was the sixth shutout of the campaign for Reda and the Dayton defense.
 
Karli Ferguson got the assist on Bowman's goal, giving the sophomore her first career helper.
