MADISON, Wis. – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Race in 17th place out of 30 teams. Their 10K race was their first of the season, and the majority of the Flyers a PR and made new marks on the record book. While Dayton did not qualify for the NCAA Championships, their last race of the season exemplified the team's consistent work ethic and diligence.
Bryce Conley finished first for the Flyers in 55th place with his time of 31:00.4. This is a PR for Conley and the second-best 10K time in UD history.
Calan Gizelbach earned the 10th-best 10K time at UD with his time of 31:44.9.
Adam Jones improved to 12th all-time by finishing with a time of 31:46.0.
Owen Pukys (32:01.3) and
Noah Clemens (32:35.9) also made their debuts on the 10K record book by ranking 16th and 25th, respectively.

How was the team's performance today reflective of their effort at today's race and the season as a whole?
"The effort for the men was strong and engaging," said Head Coach
David Dobson. "They entered with a plan to be tranquil and gritty, and executed the plan well on a challenging course. We are momentarily content but realize that there is more work to be done."
