DAYTON – University of Dayton men's golf head coach Gip Hoagland has announced the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Robert Gerwin III (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) and JJ Momper (Indianapolis, Ind./Brebuef Jesuit) will join the Flyers for the 2024-25 season.

Gerwin, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, is set to graduate from St. Xavier High School this coming spring. He earned four varsity letters with the Bombers under head coach Alex Kepley. The senior team captain posted a 73.84 scoring average for the 2023 season and helped lead his team to the program's ninth-consecutive Greater Catholic League South title. Gerwin is a three-time All-City First Team honoree and was also named to the 2023 All-Ohio Second Team.

Momper hails from Indianapolis and is playing his prep career with the Brebuef Jesuit Braves under head coach Kelly McKasson. The National Honors Society member helped lead his team to the 2023 Circle City Conference title his junior season. He has twice been named to the Circle City All-Conference Team and has three times earned All-County honors. The Braves have been crowned County Champions each of Momper's three seasons.
