FINDLAY, Ohio – The University of Dayton track & field athlete,
Raegan Ernst, competed in the first meet of the season for the Flyers at the Findlay Oiler Open. She competed in the pentathlon and earned second place out of 16 competitors at the event. Ernst was the only athlete representing the Flyers at this meet, and she did so with grace.
Ernst's second-place finish came with a PR for points in a pentathlon with 2982 points. She set three PRs while tying or improving every event she competed in when she made her collegiate debut in Findlay a year ago. "The work she put in during the off season and fall training is really starting to show," shared Associate Head Coach
Aaron Gordon. "She improved her overall PR in November, which is a great sign for things to come. The progress she has made has been steady and consistent over the last 12 months."
