PULLMAN, Wash. - The 19th-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team outlasted RV Pepperdine, 3-2 (26-28, 26-24, 20-25, 25-14, 15-11), in a marathon battle during the NCAA Tournament first round. The two-hour and 43-minute match was played at Washington's State's Bohler Gym and the Flyers have advanced to the NCAA Second Round for the 10th time in program history.
Dayton improves to 32-2 on the season, extending its winning streak to a program-best 27 matches. Pepperdine ends 2023 with an overall mark of 19-9.

Alyssa Miller was one off a double-double with 40 assists and nine digs while also collecting a match-high-tying four blocks
22 - freshman
Gaby Arroyo got under a career-high 22 digs to lead all passers in the match
19 & 17 - junior
Lexie Almodovar posted her 12th double-double of the season with 19 kills and 17 digs as one of three Flyers in double-digit kills
17 & 10 - sophomore
Karissa Kaminski recorded her first career double-double with 17 digs and a career-high 10 assist
10 - this marks the program's 10th NCAA Tournament win
Pepperdine - the Waves were paced by West Coast Conference Player of the Year Grace Chillingworth with 19 kills and 15 digs
