MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team bounced back with a resounding victory over UIC Sunday, Feb. 12, defeating the visiting Flame 6-0 at South Regency Center.
Dayton jumped ahead with a victory in the doubles point thanks to seniors
Connor Bruce and
Matt DeMarco winning 6-3 at No. 1, and seniorÂ
Georgi Mavrodiev and sophomore Erik Perkowski taking No. 2 by a 6-0 final.
The momentum rolled into singles play as Bruce, DeMarco, Perkowski, Mavrodiev and junior
Erik Eliasson all won their respective matches. Freshman
Sai Dore was leading his match at No. 6 singles when the match was called.
