MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team came out on top in its lone match of the week, taking down Lipscomb 4-2 Friday night, Feb. 17, at the South Regency Tennis Center.

The Flyers gained momentum from the jump, taking the doubles point by winning at No. 1 and 2. Seniors Connor Bruce and Matt DeMarco took No. 1 by a 6-4 final, while sophomore Eric Perkowski and senior Georgi Mavrodiev won convincingly at No. 2, 6-1.

On the singles side, Bruce and DeMarco made quick work of their opponents at No. 1 and No. 2, winning 6-3, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-3, respectively. Sophomore Davis Phillips, playing in his first match of the 2023 campaign, secured the victory for the Flyers win a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 comeback win at No. 6 singles to give Dayton back-to-back wins.

All around it was a great effort and fight from our team when back on our heels for a second.
