WASHINGTON D.C. - Sophomore
David Pedanou hit his first collegiate home run, but the University of Dayton baseball team could not muster any more offense, falling to Georgetown in a nail-biter, 3-2, Saturday afternoon at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy.
Pedanou, who had just three at-bats coming into the game, launched a second-inning, two-run home run to put the Flyers ahead. Georgetown struck back with a two-run shot of their own in the fifth to knot things up. The UD bullpen escaped multiple jams, but unfortunately, the Hoyas were able to scratch across a run on a bases-loaded fielder's choice in the seventh inning to take the lead.

6 - strikeouts for FlyBoy starter
Eli Majick, who pitched 5.1 innings and scattered seven hits
4 - times reaching base for
