DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team will be in Indianapolis Wednesday for a doubleheader at IUPUI. First pitch between the Flyers and Jaguars is set for 2 p.m. at IUPUI Softball Complex and admission is free.

Dayton (26-13, 12-2 A-10) is currently enjoying a seven-game winning streak and has won 11 of its last 12 games. The Flyers, who are in first place in Atlantic 10 Conference standings, are led offensively by sophomore
Emma Schutter with a .458 average (12th NCAA), 60 hits (5th NCAA), 32 runs scored and 25 stolen bases (16th NCAA) and sophomore
Maddie Kapsimalis with a .430 average, 11 doubles and 11 walks. In the circle, freshman
Izzy Kemp (10-5) holds the team's low ERA of 1.35 with 138 strikeouts, seven complete games and four saves over 103.2 innings pitched.
SCOUTING IUPUI
IUPUI (12-24, 8-8 HL) picked up a 2-1 Horizon League series win over Youngstown State at home this past weekend. The Jaguars have three everyday players hitting above .300 led by Jaida Speth (.394) with a team-best 37 hits and Kennedy Cowan (.330) with 34 hits, a team-high 17 RBI, 17 runs scored and eight doubles. The IUPUI pitching corps is led by Madison Bryant (4-10) with a 3.56 ERA, 119 strikeouts and eight complete games over84.2 innings of work.
