RICHMOND, Va. – Senior
Marcos Pujols powered the University of Dayton baseball team over No. 1 Saint Joseph's Thursday night, launching two home runs to knock off the Hawks, 15-10, and continue the Flyers' run through the loser's bracket of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at The Diamond.

After Saint Joseph's, the Atlantic 10's regular season champion, took a 3-0 lead in the second inning, the #FlyBoys battled back, plating three runs to knot the score in the third frame.
UD took a commanding lead in the fourth inning when it scored five runs on six hits, highlighted by Pujols' first long ball of the night. Fellow senior
Nolan Watson left the yard an inning later to spark a three-run frame, and when the dust settled after a two-run sixth, the Flyers held a commanding 13-5 lead.
The Hawks chipped away against the Flyers' bullpen and made things mildly interesting, but Pujols struck again to stop any doubt about Dayton's winning, lining a solo homer beyond the right field fence to put the final nail in the coffin.
Pujols, who also homered in Dayton's victory over No. 2 seed Davidson earlier in the day, now has 17 on the season and 44 for his career, one away from tying the all-time Dayton record of 45 set by Brooks Vogel.
Starter
Parker Bard had a strong outing, allowing just three runs in five innings of work, scattering six hits and striking out 10.Â
