COACH'S COMMENTS
"That certainly was one of the crazier games we have been involved in," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "WMU scored five goals on their first five shots. It was one of those moments where you crawl into a cave and lay down or stand up and fight back. Fortunately the team responded and stayed the course. This allowed us a chance to complete the comeback with many chances all the way until the end of the match. We need to use these past two games as a turning point of the season as we have proven to ourselves that we can outplay top level teams. The next step is to turn those close matches into wins and gain the confidence to make a run in conference play."
UP NEXT
- The Flyers open up Atlantic 10 play next Saturday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. against Rhode Island at Baujan Field.
