OLEAN, N.Y. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team started Atlantic 10 play with a scoreless draw at St. Bonaventure Thursday night from the Marra Athletics Field Complex.

With the scored tied and the game nearing its conclusion, fifth-year senior
Marlee Taylor rifled a shot from beyond the 18-yard box that was narrowly pushed aside by Bonnies' keeper Chiara Gottinger.

After the Flyers' defense held SBU to just a single shot in the first half, St. Bonaventure managed three in the second half, all turned aside by UD's sophomore keeper
Batoul Reda.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The scoreless draw is the second of the season for the Flyers, who also finished 0-0 with Illinois earlier this season. It was Dayton's first scoreless tie since the NCAA moved to eliminate regular season overtime.

The last time the Flyers earned a scoreless draw was in the 2021 season when it finished 0-0 after two overtimes at the University of Kentucky.

It was the third shutout of the season for Reda and the Flyers' defense.
