DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team edged out the University of Massachusetts 1-0 Sunday afternoon in its Atlantic 10 home opener at Baujan Field.

Facing a tremendous push from the Minutewomen in the closing minutes of the contest, the UD defense buckled down and limited the UMass offense to just one off-target shot in the final 15 minutes of action.

Batoul Reda kept busy but faced little action in net, stopping both shots the Minutewomen registered on goal.
