DAYTON – Senior
Madison Wilson tallied a pair of goals and sophomore
Mairin Wessner notched another as the University of Dayton women's soccer team breezed by Davidson 3-0 Thursday in Atlantic 10 action at Baujan Field.
Â
KEY MOMENTS
Dayton (7-1-3, 1-0-1) scored quickly in the first half and never looked back, as Wilson got the Flyers scoring started off a beautiful feed by
Diana Benigno in the seventh minute of action.
Â
Right before the half closed, Wessner scored her fourth goal of the season, set up by freshman
Maddie Bowman, to UD a 2-0 advantage.
Â
Wilson added her second goal of the night in the opening minutes of the second half, this time off a gorgeous pass from junior
Noel Blain. The 3-0 lead was more than enough for Dayton and its stout defense. The defense stifled Davidson only allowing two shots on goal in the game's final minutes.
Â
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Madison Wilson in a tie for goals scored on the season with

Â
The assist on Wessner's goal came from freshman
