FAIRBORN, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's soccer team, powered by three second-half goals, shut out Wright State on Sunday, Sept. 3, by a final score of 3-0 at Alumni Field.
 
KEY MOMENTS
After a scoreless first half, the Flyers ramped up the intensity and scored in the 47
th minute thanks to 
Laney Huber's conversion on a penalty kick.
 
The Flyers kept the pressure on, notching their second goal of the game just over two minutes later when junior 
Noel Blain knocked in a nifty goal on a feed from senior 
Madison Wilson.
 
Huber knocked in her second goal of the game in the 62
nd minute to put the game out of reach, as senior 
Diana Benigno picked up her team-leading fourth assist on the season.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Huber's two-goal game was the Flyers' third multi-goal game of the season. The Loveland, Ohio native joins 
Mairin Wessner and 
Noel Blain to accomplish the feat.
 
The shutout was the second of the season for 
Batoul Reda and the UD defense unit. Reda made four saves while the defense limited the Wright State offense to just eight total shots.
 
Dayton finished the match with 30 total shots and 17 on-goal.
 
The 17 shots on goal were the most for the Flyers since the 2015 season when it registered 21 against St. Bonaventure.
