#UDWTEN Drops Another Tight One, 4-3, to Cleveland State

Bruce, Greb And Wojcikiewicz Secured Victories In Singles

MIAMISBURG, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell short in another tight contest Sunday afternoon, dropping a 4-3 decision to unbeaten Cleveland State at the South Regency Tennis Center.

Despite freshman Marra Bruce and fifth-year Elizabeth Hamilton winning at No. 2 doubles (7-5), the Vikings pulled out the point thanks to wins at No. 1 (6-4) and No. 3 (6-2).

Bruce turned around to win a close battle at No. 2 singles, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4, improving to 3-1 on the season and making her 2-0 on the week. Junior Laura Greb won at No. 5, 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4, and fifth-year Erica Wojcikiewicz took No. 6 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-1.
