DAYTON – Redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar electrified the Flyer Faithful with 21 kills and a .500 attack percentage in the No. 22-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team's sweep over Loyola Chicago, 25-16, 25-10, 27-25 in the Frericks Center on Friday night.
The 21 kills marked the third time Almodovar eclipsed the 20-kill threshold this season, but the first time she achieved the task in a three-set match.
UD out-paced Loyola by .300 points on the night, finishing with a .359 mark to the Ramblers' .058. Senior setter
Alyssa Miller had 36 assists and added five kill, while redshirt senior
Brooke Smith had eight kills and junior
Liana Sarkissian tallied six blocks.
