DAYTON – The No. 22-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team's win streak reached double-digits with its second consecutive sweep of Loyola Chicago on Saturday afternoon, topping the Ramblers 25-23, 25-15, 25-12 in the Frericks Center.
The Flyers have won 10 consecutive games as they improve to 17-1 on the season and 7-0 in Atlantic 10 action.
Dayton's veterans led the way on offense, as redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar once again paced the Flyers with 18 kills while hitting .469. Fellow redshirt seniors
Brooke Smith (11) and
Alayna Yates (10) also finished the match in double-digit kills, while also hitting an outstanding .450 and .643, respectively.
Senior setter
Alyssa Miller had the Flyers' offense rolling, as UD hit .423 as a team and Miller finished the match with 39 assists and four blocks.
