DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team returns to Atlantic 10 play on the road with a 12 p.m. contest Saturday, Oct. 19 at St. Bonaventure University.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the weekend with a 6-2-3 record overall and coming off the biggest win in program history with a 5-1 win over No. 1 West Virginia Tuesday at home. The Flyers will look to carry that momentum into league play where they are 1-1-2 and sit in 10th in the standings. UD is unbeaten away from home this season with a 3-0-3 mark.
Head coach
Dennis Currier is in his 20th year at Dayton and is the winningest coach in program history. He ranks eighth among active Division I coaches in career wins.
Dayton leads all of Division I with 2.91 goals and 21.18 shots per game. The Flyers are holding opponents to just 1.36 goals each outing for the sixth-best goal differential in the country.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure finishes up the home stand Saturday with a 6-5-3 record on the year and 2-1-2 A-10 mark. The Bonnies are on a four-game unbeaten streak and have lost just once at home this season.
Head coach Kwame Oduro is in his 10th season at SBU and has coached numerous players who have gone on to play professionally.
As a team, the Bonnies are scoring 1.43 goals per game and allowing 1.57 goals to opposing squads. St. Bonaventure is narrowly out-shooting opponents 12.6 to 12.4, but at a higher percentage on goal.
The duo of Andres Javitt (4 goals, 5 assists) and Umechi Akuazooku (4 goals, 2 assists) are powering the offense while keeper Nicolas Pucci has 45 saves and three shutouts in 12 games.
LAST OUTING
Dayton earned its first win over a No. 1 ranked team with a 5-1 victory over West Virginia Tuesday at home. The Flyers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and added two more in the second to clinch the biggest win in program history.
St. Bonaventure was also victorious midweek with a 4-1 home win over Bucknell Tuesday. The Bonnies had three first-half goals as well and held on to extend their winning streak.
SETTING THE STANDARD
Dayton leads all of Division I in scoring offense and shots per game, and ranks top five in points per game, shots on goal, and total goals.
Individually,
Joseph Melto Quiah is third in the nation in shots per game while
Martin Bakken is 27th in goals per game.
