DAYTON – The No. 21-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team dispatched George Washington in straight sets on Saturday afternoon, topping the Revolutionaries 25-17, 25-20, 25-21 in the Frericks Center. 
 
The Flyers move to 19-1 on the season and 9-0 in Atlantic 10 action after winning their 12^th consecutive match. GW, who came into the weekend second in the A-10 standings, falls to 15-7 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
 
Redshirt senior Lexie Almodovar notched a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs on the day, also turning in a pair of blocks, an assist and a service ace. Junior libero Karissa Kaminski also had 11 digs in the contest, while redshirt senior Brooke Smith added nine kills and sophomore Emily Young had three service aces.

Dayton hits the road for a two-match series against Fordham next weekend, Oct. 25 and 26. The Flyers and Rams start their first match on Friday night at 6 p.m. and will play their Saturday match at 12 p.m.
