BRONX, N.Y. – The No. 20-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team pushed its winning streak to 13 straight by sweeping Fordham 25-17, 25-21, 25-8 on Friday night in Rose Hill Gymnasium.
The Flyers are now 20-1 on the season and 10-0 in Atlantic 10 play.
After trailing in the second set by as many as six points, UD rallied and eventually scored nine of the final 11 points to secure the narrow victory. The Flyers brought that momentum into the final set, going on a 15-2 run to start the third and never looking back.
Redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar collected her second consecutive double-double, registering 15 kills to go along with 15 digs on the day. The Noblesville, Ind. native also had four block assists and three service aces for a total of 20 points. Senior setter
