SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished in 16
th place on Friday, at the Joe Piane Invitational. The competitive meet featured some of the top teams from the US and Canada. This race was the Flyers third of the season and their second 8k. Four Flyers established new PRs in the 8k.
Graduate Student
Sam Duncan finished in 26
th place with a time of 24:43 to be the first Flyer to cross the finish line. He was followed by Senior
Connor Ewert, who posted a personal best 25:10 and Graduate Student
Isaac Burkart at 25:32. Two freshmen rounded out the scoring for Dayton as
Jacob Herzog crossed the line at 25:48, a new PR for him. He was followed closely by
Andrew Wilcox at 25:53, who was making his 8k collegiate debut.
