SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The University of Dayton Women's Cross Country team finished 16
th out of 23 teams on Friday at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame. The Flyers raced in a competitive field, featuring teams from across the country. This was the third time that UD has hit the course this season and their third 5k.

Marissa Pritchett was the first Flyer to finish as she crossed the line in 25
th place overall with a time of 17:53. Senior
Justine Smith ran a personal best time of 18:16 and was the second UD runner to finish. Sophomore
Olivia Kindbom was close behind her at 18:18. Sophomore
Anna Newkirk (19:17) and Freshman
Kaitlin Skelton (19:46) rounded out the scoring places for the Flyers. Other notable marks for the Flyers included Junior
Sammie Wells making her season debut with a time of 20:37.Â
