DAYTON – The No. 19-ranked Dayton volleyball team finishes the 2024 regular season with a road trip to rival Saint Louis this weekend, taking on the Billikens at Chaifetz Pavilion.
The first match of the weekend is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. ET, with game two on the calendar for 3 p.m. ET on Saturday. Due to Saint Louis hosting NCAA women's soccer opening round, only Saturday's contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.

How Sweep it is!
Dayton turned in another pair of sweeps last weekend against Davidson, bringing their season total to 20. 20 sweeps is tied with Pitt for most in Division I volleyball this season.

Mr. 400 (And Counting)
Dayton head coach
Tim Horsmon, now in his 16th season as UD's coach (2003-08; 2014-Present), topped 400 wins as the Flyers' head coach with Friday night's sweep of Davidson.

Horsmon, who is already the all-time winningest Dayton coach, has a 401-108 record while at the helm of the Flyers for an all-time winning percentage of .788. For his total 25-year career, Horsmon has a 577-272 record. Horsmon is one of 14 coaches in Division I to have over 500 career wins with 400 of those at their current institution.

With a record of 26-1 on the season, the Dayton Flyers are leading Division I volleyball in winning percentage with a .963 mark. UD ranks just ahead of No. 2 Nebraska (24-1; .960), No. 1 Pittsburgh (23-1; .958), and RV South Dakota State (23-1; .958).

Lexie Almodovar has put herself in rarified air in her final season as a Flyer.

The Noblesville, Ind. native became the all-time #UDVB kills leader, passing Dayton Hall of Famer and All-American Faye Barhorst (1,796; 2003-06) with her 18-kill performance at Fordham.

Five New Flyers Signed
#UDVB five high school seniors as part of the 2024 signing class: Morgan Asleson (DS/L, LaGrange, Ill.), Addi Gallentine (MB, Newburgh, Ind.), Claire Logeais (MB, Prior Lake, Minn.), Isabel Simmons (MB/OPP, Sioux Falls, S.D.), and Melina Schrader (S, New Bremen, Ohio) have signed for the 2025-26 academic year.

RPI Rankings Â
Dayton sits at No. 15 once again in the NCAA's most recent RPI Ranking.

The Flyers' non-conference slate included Top 50 matches against Marquette (22), Illinois (26), Wright State (35) and UNI (40), as well as Top 80 opponents Western Kentucky (56), USF (57), FGCU (64), and Bowling Green (79). While VCU (81), Loyola Chicago (97), George Washington (149) and Davidson (174) round out the rankings in the A-10.

UD in the AVCA Polls - Staying Strong at No. 19
The Flyers have been ranked in every American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll of the 2024 season, once again coming in at No. 19 in the most recent rankings. Dayton was No. 19 in the last two polls after spending time at No. 20, 21, 22 and No. 24 in the other weeks.

UD has been ranked in the AVCA Weekly Poll for 24 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2023 campaign. This tops the program record set in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 seasons when the Flyers went 21 straight weeks in the Top 25.

Dayton leads the Atlantic 10 in four categories this season, including points/set (18.52), hitting percentage (.302), opponent hitting percentage (.131), kills/set (14.15), assists/set (13.12), and aces/set (1.91).

Karissa Kaminski is third in the A-10 in digs/set (4.16) while Sarkissian also ranks fourth in blocks/set (1.11).

Dayton has won 36 consecutive regular-season Atlantic 10 matches dating back to the 2022 campaign boasting sweeps over Rhode Island, VCU, Loyola Chicago, George Washington, Fordham, George Mason and Davidson, and winning both midweek matches with Duquesne.

Scouting Saint Louis
Saint Louis has an overall record of 11-17 and 6-10 mark in the Atlantic 10. The Billikens currently sit at No. 6 in the A-10 standings with a two-game lead over Duquesne, George Mason and Rhode Island. The top six teams in the league make the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Graduate libero Carlie Rodgers sits atop the A-10 in digs/set with a 4.50 average. Sophomore middle Trinity Luckett is third in the conference in blocks/set with a 1.19 mark, and freshman Addy Brus is currently fourth in the league in kills/set with a 3.69 average.
