MECHANICSVILLE, Va. .- The University of Dayton Men's Cross Country team finished 11
th out of 15 teams on Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Championships, which Richmond University hosted. A season-high 10 Flyers competed today, multiple of whom were able to move up throughout the race and run positive splits to put themselves in position for a strong finish.
Senior
Sam Duncan led the way for UD, finishing 31
st overall in a time of 24:53. Junior
Jameson Maynes was the next Flyer across the line with a time of 25:27. Graduate Student
Bryce Conley ran a time of 25:43 to be the third Dayton runner in. It was only the second race of the season for the Tipp City, Ohio native. Graduate Student
Isaac Burkart and Freshman
Andrew Wilcox claimed the fourth and fifth scoring places, finishing right next to each other with times of 25:45 and 25:46, respectively. Additionally, two Flyer runners set new personal bests. Freshman
Logan Arnold ran 26:05 for a 17-second improvement, and Sophomore
Colin Sams ran a new PR of 26:09.
UP NEXT
The Flyers will travel to Norton, Ohio to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 15. The men's race will begin at noon.
