DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team suffered a 60-43 defeat at the hands of Miami University of Ohio Thursday night at UD Arena. Â

The Flyers fell to 5-4 on the campaign while the Redhawks improved to 5-2 on the season.

GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Quarter: Dayton 13, Miami (OH) 23
- Senior Ivy Wolf struck first on a smooth mid-range pull-up off a nice screen from graduate student Rikki Harris that got the Flyers on the board 2-0.
- After Miami went on 14-0 run, it was Wolf again this time with a dagger to cut the Redhawks' lead to 14-5 at 6:04 mark.
- Sophomore Ajok Madol got her first bucket going with a nice driving layup at 2:06 mark.Â

2nd Quarter: Dayton 18, Miami (OH) 33
- The Redhawks held the Flyers to a 6:25 minute scoring drought to start the quarter.
- Harris got Dayton's first points of the quarter with a smooth jumper off the out of bounds play.
- UD was limited to just five points and 1-of-15 shooting in the second.

3rd Quarter: Dayton 30, Miami (OH) 46
- Graduate student Nicole Stephens got her first bucket of the game with a solid backdoor cut off the assist from Wolf at the 7:01 mark.
- Wolf continued her strong performance with a smooth floater over the defense and step back jumper to continue the Flyers run.
- After forcing a Redhawks turnover, senior Arianna Smith got herself going with a fast break layup that cut the margin to 39-28 at the 4:57 mark.
- Smith continued her strong quarter by securing the offensive board and finishing through the tough contact to cut the deficit 42-30 with 2:22 to play.
4th Quarter: Dayton 43, Miami (OH) 60
- Smith got the Flyers' first couple buckets of the quarter from inside the paint.
- Junior Nayo Lear got herself going with her first field goal of the half at the 6:38 mark. Â
- Wolf got her first points of the quarter off a beautiful spin move bank shot with 4:28 to play.
- The Redhawks held Dayton to one field goal in the last four and a half minutes of the game

Ivy Wolf led the Flyers with 11 points in the contest.
70% - The Flyers outshot the Redhawks from the charity stripe at 70 percent compared to Miami's 50 percent.
34 - The Redhawks outscored the Flyers with 34 points in the paint compared to UD's 16.
16 - Dayton scored more points off turnovers with 16 compared to Miami's 12.
14 - Flyers outrebounded the Redhawks on the offensive board with 14 compared to the Redhawks' eight.
