AKRON, Ohio -The University of Dayton track and field throwers competed in the shot put and weight throw on Friday, at the Akron Invitational. Multiple Flyers threw personal best and UD competed against eight teams at the Stile Athletics Fieldhouse.Â
QUOTE FROM COACHÂ
"The throwers continue to make improvements week after week" said Associate Head Coach Kevin Gilhuly. "I'm proud of the work these kids have been putting in and it's all leading up to bigger throws as the season gets closer to A-10's. Jillian Yates had a standout meet PRing once again and this time in both events. Anna Yater has been making small improvements to her technique in Shot as well; which lead to another PR for this weekend". He added, "It's important that we keep focused on making ourselves one-percent better each day so when the championship season is here we are ready for the big throws to happen."Â
