DADE CITY, Fla. - The University of Dayton men's golf team closed out the first event of the spring 2024 season Tuesday with a win over Central Michigan at the MAC/A-10 Challenge match play event. The Flyers claimed the victory over the Chippewas after the tiebreaker went in favor of Dayton. The three-round event was hosted by Ball State at Lake Jovita Country Club Feb. 5-6. The matches were contested on the South Course at par 72 and 7153 yards.
On Monday, Dayton dropped a 3-1-2 decision to George Washington and bounced back with a 4-2-0 win over Ohio in the nightcap. For the event, Dayton posted a 2-1 record.
