MIAMISBURG, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's tennis team made it six consecutive wins with a 6-1 triumph over Ball State on Friday afternoon at the South Regency Tennis Center.
UD started the match with a win in doubles, taking care of business at No. 1 by a 6-3 final was junior
Neena Katauskas and sophomore
Natalie Osiecki, while fifth-year
Erica Wojcikiewicz and junior
Laura Greb won at No. 3, 6-3.
The Flyers won handily in singles as well, taking five of six matches. Freshman
Marra Bruce came from behind to win at No. 1 (3-6, 6-2, 6-2), while sophomore
Natalie Osiecki also picked up a comeback win at No. 2 (1-6, 7-5, 6-1). Reigning A-10 Performer of the Week, junior
Neena Katauskas, won at No. 3, 6-0, 4-6, 6-1, and fifth-year
Elizabeth Hamilton took home a straight-set victory at No. 4, 6-4, 6-1. Junior
Laura Greb was the last Flyer winner, taking No. 6 by a 6-2, 7-6 (5) final.
Dayton returns to action on Saturday, March 2 when it returns to the friendly confines of the South Regency Tennis Center to take on Butler at 4 p.m.
