PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton women's tennis team finished its weekend road trip to the City of Brotherly Love by falling in a tight match with Drexel, 4-3, at Vidas Court.
UD took the doubles point with 6-4 wins by both
Neena Katauskas and
Natalie Osiecki at No. 1 and
Elizabeth Hamilton and
Marra Bruce at No. 2.
Drexel, who has spent time ranked in the ITA Top 75 this season, won with singles wins at No. 1, 2, 4 and 5.
Katauskas won her second match of the weekend with a 6-4, 7-6 (6) win at No. 2, while
Laura Greb picked up a victory at No. 6, 6-1, 6-4.
The Flyers return to action on Saturday, April 6 with an away match at Xavier scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
