PHOENIX - The University of Dayton men's tennis team dropped the opening match of its Spring Break trip to Arizona to Grand Canyon University 4-0 on Monday night at the GCU Tennis Facility.
The Lopes secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2, and then came through with wins at No. 1, 3 and 5 in singles.
Dayton had the lead in the other three matches, as
Matt DeMarco,
Mikkel Zinder and
Davis Phillips were in control, but the match was decided before they finished.
The Flyers play their second match of the Arizona spring break trip on Thursday, March 28 at 8 p.m. at Northern Arizona University.
