RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Dayton baseball team fell in game two of its Atlantic 10 series at VCU on Saturday afternoon, 8-3, at The Diamond.

VCU jumped in front with three runs in the first inning and added three more in the third. The Rams tacked on two more in the fifth to make it 8-0. The FlyBoys tacked on three runs in their final two at-bats, but the early deficit proved to be too much to overcome.

Dayton threatened multiple times throughout the game but never found the big hit, leaving 12 runners stranded in the contest.

Graduate student
Keagan Calero led the offensive charge with a 3-for-3 performance, pushing his team-best 12-game hitting streak to 13 and raising his batting average to .431 on the season. Fellow graduate student
Nolan Watson also had two hits, driving in a run and scoring one more.
