KNOXVILLE, Tenn - University of Dayton track and field for the second straight year competed at the Tennessee Invite. Friday and Saturday, multiple Flyers turned in personal best during the two-day meet. Casey Bogues, Abby Carter, Zoe Chappelle, Jadyn Haywood and Luisa Himmler all had top three finishes. It was a historic weekend for the 4x100m Relay of Anna Kessler, Rayana Burns, Kendall Johnson and Jadyn Haywood, who recorded the fastest time in school history at 46.58. The new record passes Sarah Sepanski, Paige Yeager, Jenna Adams and Jordan Hoffman, who ran 46.61 in April of 2016. 

TENNESSEE INVITE HIGHLIGHTS

• Casey Bogues won the javelin throw (47.68m) and now holds the two best throws in the conference this season. The redshirt junior has now won nine times in her career at UD. 
• Luisa Himmler had a season best throw on Friday and finished 3rd in the javelin (40.91m).  
• Abby Carter had another strong weekend with personal best in the 1500m and 800m. On Friday, Carter finished second in the 15000m and recorded the fourth fastest time in school history at 4:26.14.
• Zoe Chappelle picked up her fourth win all-time in the 5000m steeplechase by taking first place at the Tennessee Invite with a time of 11:11.88.
• Jadyn Haywood recorded the second fastest time in the conference this season in the 100m and finished third. Her personal best 11.69 was also the second fastest time in program history.
• Haywood was joined by Anna Kessler, Kendall Johnson and Rayana Burns for the 4x100 relay and finished fifth. Their time 46.58 is now the new school record.
