ST. LOUIS - The University of Dayton softball team will close out the 2024 regular season with a three-game Atlantic 10 series at Saint Louis May 4-5. The first-place Flyers and second-place Billikens will be battling for the A-10 regular season title and No. 1 seed at the upcoming A-10 Championship. Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game at the Billiken Sports Center begin at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT.
All three games will be available to follow via live stats at

Dayton (28-18, 17-6 A-10) closed out a nine-game homestand with a 2-1 series win over Rhode Island a week ago. The Flyers have won 10 of their last 11 games and are atop Atlantic 10 standings heading into the final three games of the regular season. On offense, junior

Izzy Kemp (10-5) leads the Dayton pitching corps with a 1.98 ERA (1st A-10), 112 strikeouts (3rd A-10) and seven complete games over 95.2 innings pitched.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis (28-18, 15-8 A-10) is coming off a 2-1 series win at Fordham last weekend and the Billikens are in second place in A-10 standings. Abby Ulsas (.362) leads four players hitting above .300 with 55 hits (1st A-10) and 38 runs scored (3rd A-10) while Cami Newbanks (.356) has knocked in 42 runs (t-3rd A-10) to go with 12 doubles (t-5th A-10) and seven home runs (t-7th A-10). In the circle, Taylor Hochman (14-8) carries the team's low ERA of 2.38 (3rd A-10) with 11 complete games over 141.1 innings of work (2nd A-10). Â
SERIES STUFF
Saint Louis leads, 28-22
UD and SLU squared off a total of four times last season, with each team taking two wins. After Dayton claimed the 2-1 series win during the regular season, Saint Louis eliminated the Flyers from the A-10 Championship by a margin of 4-3 on the the third day of the tournament.
RPI RANKINGS
In the NCAA's Rating Percentage Index (RPI) through games on May 2, Dayton came in at 148 according to NCAA.com. Saint Louis was ranked 195.
