COACH'S COMMENTS
"I thought we had a lot of good moments in the game," said head coach Dennis Currier. "I think in the first half we didn't put the game away early so it allowed them to get back. I told the guys prior to the game so many things happen in a Division I soccer game. There's ups and downs and you have to ride through those. Once we got that third goal, we started to roll a little bit. There were some great performances really by all the players. I know they're excited to start the season and put five goals on the scoreboard. It was phenomenal for the first game."

UP NEXT
  • The Flyers will remain at home to play Jacksonville at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25 at Baujan Field.
