SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished atop a field of five teams on Friday at the Jaguar Invitational, hosted by IU Indy. The 8k race was the first of its kind for the Flyers this season and thus featured multiple newcomers making their collegiate debuts at the distance.
Dayton was led by Graduate Student
Sam Duncan who finished in second place with a time of 25:20.
Isaac Burkart and
Connor Ewert finished sixth and seventh respectively.
Bryce Conley was the tenth runner across the line and the fourth for the Flyers.
Colin Sams rounded out the scoring for the team in 14th place. UD had four runners finish in the top 10 and six within the top 15. Dayton's point total came out to 37 which put them 14 points ahead of the second-place team. The Flyers who made their 8k debuts were
