SHELBYVILLE, Ind.- The University of Dayton Women's Cross Country team took first place in the Jaguar Invitational on Friday, hosted by IU Indy. The event featured a field of five teams from Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Ohio. This was the Flyers' second meet of the season and their second 5k.
Junior
Marissa Pritchett crossed the finish line first for the Flyers winning the race with a time of 18:29. She was followed by three other Flyers in the top 10.
Olivia Kindbom finished in third place with a time of 18:52.
Anna Newkirk and
Justine Smith came in sixth and seventh place respectively with times of 19:28 and 19:42. Rounding out the top five for Dayton was
Kaitlin Skelton in 16
th place with a time of 20:34.
