DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns home to host the University of Massachusetts Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. at UD Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the week with an 8-6 record overall and 2-1 Atlantic 10 mark. The Flyers are on a two-game winning streak and are 7-2 at home this season.
Head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her third season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
The Flyers are averaging 64.6 points per game and holding opponents to just 60.9 points each game. Dayton is shooting 41.7 percent overall, 31.0 percent from three point range, and 71.5 percent from the free throw line. UD had a +3.5 rebounding margin as well.

Ivy Wolf with 17.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and
Arianna Smith with 9.7 points and 8.2 rebounds each outing. Reigning and two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week
Olivia Leung is coming off back-to-back career performances last week.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
MASSACHUSETTS
Massachusetts comes to Ohio with a 7-7 record so far and 2-1 A-10 mark as well. The Minutewomen are coming off a loss at Richmond last outing and are 3-3 away from home this season.
Head coach Mike Leflar is in his second season at the helm after serving as Associate Head Coach and Assistant Coach with UMass.
As a team, the Minutewomen are scoring 62.7 points each outing and allowing 58.5 points to opposing squads. UMass is averaging 40.0 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from behind the arc, and 74.5 percent from the charity stripe.
The Minutewomen have three players averaging in double figures with Allie Palmieri leading the team with 14.0 points per game. Megan Olbrys is chipping in 12.9 points and team-highs in rebounds and assists. Yahmani McKayles rounds out the scoring with 12.5 points each contest.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and Minutewomen are meeting for the 32nd time in program history with Dayton holding a 17-14 series advantage. UMass has won the last three contests including last year's game, 76-66.
