WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The University of Dayton men's tennis program finished a successful weekend at ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships.

Across singles and doubles competition, the Flyers tallied 14 wins. Eric Suk and Mikkel Zinder made it to the quarterfinals in doubles competition.

Dylan Jaen, Kaia Mendibe and Suk could not advance out of the qualifying singles draws, but the trio earned wins in consolation play.

In the singles main draw, Zinder and Kyle McNally upset ranked players in the round of 32 but fell in the round of 16.

Jaen and Zinder will now set their sights on ITA Masters, which will take place on Nov. 6-9 in Rome, Ga.

"Regionals is always a highlight of the fall season. We get the opportunity to test ourselves against some of the better teams in D1," explained head coach Ryan Meyer. "This year's regional was about as good as it could have been. We found who we want to be and how we need to compete."

"The Flyers had a great showing at ITA Regionals. I'm very proud of how our guys competed and stayed together the entire weekend," said assistant coach Andrew Lutschaunig on the team's wins. "Every Flyer left the tournament with something to be proud of and something to learn from."
