Volleyball Defeats George Washington In Four

The Flyers Move To 9-0 In Atlantic 10 Play

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton volleyball team picked up another conference win, beating George Washington on the road in four sets (21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19).

The Flyers remain in first place in the Atlantic 10 with a 9-0 conference record.

George Washington held the lead for most of the first set, with the Flyers attempting a comeback with a three-point run at GW's set point. After tying the set at 8-8, UD continued to score to take a six-point lead in the second. The Revolutionaries brought the score within four, but the Flyers continued their lead to tie the match.

After 14 tie scores in the third set, Dayton was able to lock up the third set for the 2-1 set advantage. UD had an early lead in the fourth set, but George Washington chipped away at the deficit for a 19-18 set. The Flyers went on a four-point run, winning the match on a service error by GW.
