#UDXC Sends Athletes To Compete At Wright State

Seven Runners Will Race In Final Meet Before A-10 Championships

DAYTON — Seven runners will represent the University of Dayton's cross country teams at Fairborn Community Park on Friday as they compete in the Wild Bill Invitational, hosted by Wright State University.
 
Three women and four men will toe the line for the Flyers. Gerrit Dam, Jacob Herzog, James Mroczka, and Colin Sams will compete for the men, while the trio of Bailey Gross, Sarah Haunn, and Kaitlin Skelton will suit up for the women.
 
Friday will mark the conclusion of UD's regular season and their last competition before the Atlantic 10 Championships, hosted by Dayton, on Nov.1 at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course at Cedarville University.

Men's 8k: 4:30 p.m.
Women's 5k: 5:15 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Flyers after an impressive outing last week at the Bradley Pink Invitational.
 
On the men's side, the Flyers placed eighth in the 21-team field. Owen Pukys finished eighth overall, running a time of 24:10.31. Kamden Kramer was the second runner across the line in 25:03.16. Noah Clemens recorded the only PR of the day in 25:25.07 and was the third Flyer into the finish. Alex Bendaña and Jameson Maynes secured the final two scoring spots for UD with times of 25:25.46 and 25:31.35, respectively.
 
The women turned in several strong performances to finish 15th out of 24 teams. Addison Stephens earned Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Week honors for her personal best performance, running 22:04.21 and being the third Flyer across the line. Ahead of Stephens was Marissa Pritchett with a time of 21:34.75 and Bryn Hothem in 21:44.6. Three Flyers, Cara Mooney, Abigail Jordan, and Olivia Kindbom, all finished within two seconds of one another at 22:34.3, 22:34.91, and 22:36.6 to take the final two scoring positions and the tiebreaker. Mooney and Jordan both recorded new PRs. Kaitlin Skelton also set a new personal best of 23:32.5.
