LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Dayton Cross Country continued its 2025 campaign with a strong showing Saturday at the Louisville Cross Country Classic. Six runners set new personal bests for the Flyers en route to a 13th-place finish in the 31-team field.
For the second straight meet, Junior
Bryn Hothem was the first across the line for UD as she finished in a new PR time of 17:41.5.
Not far behind Hothem was Senior
Marissa Pritchett, who set a PR of her own in 17:46.0. Freshman
Addison Stephens was third for Dayton with yet another Flyer personal best of 18:29.7. Rounding out the scoring positions for UD were Juniors
Cara Mooney and
Anna Newkirk in 18:30.9 and 18:45.7, respectively. The latter was a new personal best for Newkirk. Freshman
Abigail Jordan and Sophomore
Mia Gill also hopped on the trend of setting personal records, while Freshman
Ashley Alsko ran her first collegiate 5k.
