DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team closed out its 2025 regular-season slate with a 1-0 victory over visiting Loyola Chicago Saturday night. Junior
Martin Bakken scored what proved to be the game-winning goal (5) in the third minute of the contest. The win earns Dayton the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championship, which gets underway Friday, Nov. 7.
Dayton improves to 6-2-7 on the year and 4-1-3 in league games while Loyola Chicago closes out the 2025 season with a 4-5-7 overall record and 1-3-4 in conference contests.
