LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell in a close contest to the University of Louisville on Friday, dropping a 5-2 decision at the hands of the Cardinals at Bass-Rudd Tennis Complex.

Louisville jumped in front by sweeping the doubles point, then clinched the match by winning singles at No. 1, 4 and 5.

Haley Klein picked up a strong win at No. 6 singles, taking down Berta Miret 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (6). Senior
Laura Greb was also victorious for the Flyers, winning at No. 3 singles 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (6).

UP NEXT
UD has a busy weekend in store next week, traveling to Pennsylvania to take on Atlantic 10 foe Duquesne on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saint Francis on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Flyers then return home to take on Ashland on Sunday, Feb. 9.
