GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Dayton baseball team came up short against the No. 10-ranked Florida in eighth innings on Saturday, falling to the Gators 11-1, at Condron Ballpark.
Freshman
Rylan Lujo had two base hits on the night to lead UD, and
Aiden Heberlie scored the FlyBoys' lone run.
Dayton got on the board thanks to an RBI single by
Bobby Stang in the eighth that drove in Heberlie. The Gators struck back with their second four-spot of the game in the home half of the inning to end the game by mercy rule in the eighth.
